STUDENT ACTIVITY CENTRE
Student activity centre is a vibrant place which resonates with the student's vibrancy post college hours. Project is designed as a campus extension of Govt Engineering College. Campus is sprawling 20 acres with more than 12 engineering disciplines, including a seperate architecture and design school.
This proposal looked in to various aspects of student life and integrated it with an active sports centre to bring energy, enthusiasm and vibrancy in the student life. SAC has an auditorium, library, performing arts centre, swimming pool among many other things. Entrance to SAC is by a tunnel which has a perforated roof openings to filter the light . It adds drama and sense of curiosity towards the structure. As student comes out from entry tunnel, a vast swimming pool frames the view and defines vista towards the architectural structure.
Interesting spaces help student to navigate towards performing centre. Performing centre has multilayered seatings and enhanced acoustic surface treatments to enjoy that perfect theatrical performances.
